TBST (Tris Buffered Saline with Tween-20) is a isotonic buffered saline solution commonly used in biology. It is a solution with a certain proportion of Tween-20 added to TBS. It is mainly used for the preparation of blocking solution, preparation of primary and secondary antibodies, and washing after incubation of primary and secondary antibodies in experiments such as immunoblotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunocytochemistry (IC). Tween-20, as a detergent, can increase the elution capacity of the buffer.
